August 1, 1955 - Little Rock Air Force Base is established near Jacksonville, Arkansas, on six thousand acres of land formerly occupied by the Arkansas Ordnance Plant.

1992 - FUTURE-Little Rock initiative launched for neighborhood revitalization

1992 - Eugene Pfeifer III buys land later identified as William J. Clinton Presidential Center site
