Bryan Day

Bryan Day is assistant city manager of the City of Little Rock. Day is past director of the Little Rock Department of Parks and Recreation, where he helped the department accomplish the goal of national accreditation and create a comprehensive master plan. As parks director he oversaw the creation of the Arkansas River Trail, the Stephens Community Center, the MacArthur Museum of Arkansas Military History, a Therapeutic Recreation program, and the Little Rock Marathon.

Day was employed by the Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism before joining the City of Little Rock. He became assistant director of Little Rock Parks and Recreation in 1996. He became director of the department in 1999. Day's appointment as assistant city manager was announced on October 3, 2005.

Bryan Day is a native of Little Rock. He holds a B.A. and M.A. from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. He volunteers with the Boy Scouts, YMCA, and City Year. Day is past past president of the Arkansas Recreation and Parks Association and past board member of the National Recreation and Parks Association. He is a member of the Little Rock School Board. He is married to Betsy Day and has two children, Sierra and Spencer.
