River Cities Travel Center

The River Cities Travel Center located at 310 East Capitol Avenue is the main transit hub for buses in the city of Little Rock, Arkansas. Twenty local routes and four express routes converge on the travel center. The River Cities Travel Center opened with 21 separate bus bays, a main concourse, clock tower, and an indoor/outdoor waiting area on August 28, 2000. The Arkansas River is memorialized in the structure by a river of blue tile running from the waiting area to the concourse and ending at the clock tower.

The facility was designed by Gaskin Hill Norcross. The general contractor on the project was Carson & Associates. Landscaping was accomplished by Landscape Architecture, Inc. and Landscaping Development Consultants, Inc.. OTAK, Inc. consulted on transportation design. Subcontractors on the River Cities Travel Center were Middleton Heat & Air, Don Williams, Diverse Steel Erection, Northside Electric, Richardson Plumbing, Arkansas Precast, Prospect Steel, ASI Signs, Trimasters, Arkansas Specialties Contractors, Little Rock Tile & Marble, Adkins Painting, O'Roark Masons, Pyramid Construction, Inc., Acme Brick Company, Nathaniel Saine Construction, Staley Glass, and Landscape Forms, Inc.
