Home BancShares grew from a 1999 charter for First State Bank of Conway. First State Bank was rebranded as Centennial Bank in 2009. The company then acquired Community Bank and the Bank of Mountain View. Twin City Bank and Marine Bank were brought into the company in 2005. All of the banks are expected to eventually be rebranded as Centennial banks.
The chairman and chief executive officer of Home BancShares is John W. Allison. The vice chairman is Robert H. "Bunny" Adcock Jr.
