Daisy Bates Home

From FranaWiki

The Daisy Bates Home is a museum and national historic landmark in the Quapaw Quarter of Little Rock. The house served as the home to L.C. and Daisy Bates. Daisy Bates was one of the Little Rock Nine during the desegregation crisis at Central High School in 1957. Black students attending Central in the 1957-1958 school year arrived at this home every morning to meet their federal escort, and reviewed their situation each evening in the basement below the house.

The private home, located at 1207 W. 28th Street, is undergoing reconstruction after being destroyed in a tornado on January 21, 1999.
