Arkansas Shakespeare Theatre

The Arkansas Shakespeare Theatre takes place at the University of Central Arkansas in the summertime. The theatre was founded in 2006, with public performances beginning in the summer of 2007. The artistic director of the Arkansas Shakespeare Theatre is Matt Chiorini.

The Arkansas Shakespeare Theatre is supported by the Conway Shakespeare Club, the third oldest literary club in the state. Other sponsors include the University of Central Arkansas, the Arkansas Arts Council, Centennial Bank, the Conway Corporation, the AETN Foundation, National Bank of Arkansas, Mike's Place, Regions Bank, Conway Urology, Kimberly-Clark, Nabholz Construction, 501Life, Arvest Bank, Ed's Bakery, and Target. Some organizational funding is also provided by the Conway Advertising and Promotion Commission.
