Cadron Gap transects Cadron Ridge on the north edge of the city of Conway, Arkansas. The gap was exploited in 1871 by the Little Rock and Fort Smith Railroad, which avoided building trackage that climbed the 150 foot ridge line. The gap in the ridge contributed substantially to the development of Conway to the south. The first U.S. Post Office in the area was at Cadron Gap before its transfer south to Conway Station in 1872.
