Sergeant Johnnie Herman Callahan

Personal History
Callahan was born in Saline County, Arkansas on 28 May 1920. For two years he attended the Arkansas State Teacher's College.
Callahan also worked as a salesperson upon his enlistment on 23 May 1942. In the Army Air Corps, he served as a radio operator and Staff Sergeant on B-24H “Burns Away,” 704th Bomber Squadron, 446th Bomber Group.
Callahan was declared missing in action on 20 December 1943 when his B-24 went missing somewhere over Germany. He is listed on the Tablet of the Missing at Cambridge American Cemetery in Cambridge, England and in Mount Harmony Cemetery in Haskell, Arkansas.
