The Little Rock YMCA was constructed on the northwest corner of South Broadway and West Sixth streets in 1928. During Jim Crow the YMCA was whites-only. The YMCA Recreation Building for African Americans was located at 1100 West Ninth Street.

In 1910 the Little Rock YMCA building was located at the corner of Scott Street and Capitol Avenue. This building is in 2009 occupied by the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette.
