Woodrow Wilson Mann

Woodrow Wilson Mann served as mayor of Little Rock from 1956 to 1957. He is noted for ordering the turning of fire hoses against the crowds surrounding Little Rock Central High School during the desegregation crisis. The order was ignored by the chief of the fire department.
