William T. Dillard II is chairman and chief executive officer of Dillard's in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Dillard is the son of company founder William T. Dillard. Dillard II received his bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, and a master's degree in business administration from Harvard University. Dillard II has served on the board of directors of the firm since 1968. He became CEO in 1998, and chairman in 2002. The company has about 320 retail operations in twenty-nine states.
Dillard II is on the board of directors of Barnes & Noble and the advisory board of J. P. Morgan Chase.
