Rosewood was an 1840s country estate owned by Arkansas Territorial Governor William S. Fulton. The estate became the first home of the Arkansas School for the Blind and is now the present site of the Arkansas Governor's Mansion. The Vegetable Garden at the Governor's Mansion continues to be surrounded by a wooden picket fence like that framing the grounds of Rosewood in the nineteenth century.
