Reuben William Robins was a Conway, Arkansas, attorney with the general practice firm of Robins & Clark. Robins was born in Conway on May 21, 1873. He was educated in the public schools and attended Hendrix College. He received his legal education at the University of Arkansas and in the law office of Judge Samuel Franenthal. Robins was deputy prosecuting attorney from 1905 to 1907.

Robins' partner in Robins & Clark was George W. Clark, born in 1865 and admitted to the bar in 1896. Both served as attorneys for the Farmers' State Bank, the Bank of Conway, and the Conway Compress Company.
