Peaches Records and Tapes

From FranaWiki

Peaches Records and Tapes is a former independent music store located in the defunct Juroy Theatre on Pike Avenue in North Little Rock.

Peaches specialized in LPs and concert tickets. Peaches showed films in the balcony of the theater on Friday and Saturday nights until moving to a shopping center at the intersection of McCain Boulevard and John F. Kennedy Boulevard. Peaches, a branch of Discount Records, closed in 1995.

The owner of Peaches was Jack Garner. Garner opened on Sundays and sold records in violation of local Sunday blue laws established under Act 135 of 1965. The practice led to a state Supreme Court case in 1982.
