The Packet House (also known as the McDonald-Wait-Newton House) is a historic landmark located at 1406 Cantrell Road in Little Rock, Arkansas. The 12,370 square foot Second Empire style home was constructed in 1870-1871 by former senator Alexander McDonald.

McDonald had arrived in the state 1863, having accumulated great wealth as an Indian contractor in the firm of McDonald, Fuller and Sells. McDonald presided over Merchant's National Bank (later renamed First National Bank).

McDonald sold the Packet House in the mid-1870s.

The home was once owned by William B. Wait.

In 1956 the Bailey Corporation made the Packet House its first acquisition. It sold the home in 1969.
