Mary Steenbergen is an American actress who grew up in Little Rock, Arkansas. Her father was a railroad conductor and her mother a local public high school secretary. She began her professional career in acting at age nineteen in New York. She currently resides in Los Angeles with her husband Ted Danson. She has four children: Kate, Lilly, Charlie and Kat.
