Hotze House
From FranaWiki
The Hotze House may refer to either of two homes found in the historic Quapaw Quarter of Little Rock, Arkansas. The so-called "First Hotze House" is located at 1620 Main Street and was constructed around 1868. The home was built for local mercantilist Peter Hotze.
What is today called the "Hotze House" is a home built around 1900 at 1619 Louisiana Avenue in the Quapaw Quarter. The house was designed by architect Charles Thompson as a retirement house for Peter Hotze. Hotze had spent thirty years seeking his fortune in New York, but had remained the owner of the First Hotze House. The house at 1619 Louisiana is characterized by Georgian-style architectural elements.
