The Heritage Center East and West was the second historic restoration project completed by the firm AMR Architects in the early 1980s. The three-story Heritage Center was created from renovation of two buildings and the demolition of a third structure sandwiched between the two buildings on East Markham Street in downtown Little Rock.

The Department of Arkansas Heritage became the main tenant in Heritage Center East, and AMR Architects took over a top floor. The building has 30,000 square feet of floor space, and is now configured in the "loft office" style with exposed ductwork and industrial-themed lighting.
