Heritage Center East and West
The Heritage Center East and West was the second historic restoration project completed by the firm AMR Architects in the early 1980s.
The three-story Heritage Center was created from renovation of two buildings and the demolition of a third structure sandwiched between the two buildings on East Markham Street between Scott and Cumberland in downtown Little Rock. The building has 30,000 square feet of floor space, and is now configured in the "loft office" style with exposed ductwork and industrial-themed lighting.
The Department of Arkansas Heritage became the main original tenant in Heritage Center East, and AMR Architects took over a top floor. The center also houses the offices of the Arkansas Writers' Project and the Arkansas Times. The center also housed the Café St. Moritz.
