Denis Seyer
Denis Seyer was a chef from Gerardmer, France, who came to Little Rock in 1975 to take a position at the Restaurant Jacques et Suzanne on the thirtieth floor of the Regions Bank Building.
In 1980 Seyer left Jacques et Suzanne's to open his own restaurant called Le Casse Croute. Seyer later opened his own French restaurant Alouette's, where wait staff donned tuxedos to serve dinner guests. Alouette's closed in 2003. Seyer then opened Gypsy's Grill & Bar at 11401 North Rodney Parham Road in west Little Rock. Gypsy's billed itself as a place where "World Cuisine Goes Casual." Gypsy's closed on January 31, 2009. Seyer retired after 29 years in the local community to manage a companion restaurant in the Cayman Islands called Harvey's Island Grill.
