Arkansas General Assembly
From FranaWiki
The Arkansas General Assembly is the bicameral state legislature of the State of Arkansas. The Arkansas Senate has thirty-five members, and the Arkansas House of Representatives one hundred members.
The state constitution stipulates that the General Assembly meet biennially for sixty days, unless an extension is voted upon by the members themselves. The Arkansas Governor is empowered to call for special sessions when warranted when the legislature is not in session.
Legislators in both houses are term limited under Amendment 73 of the Arkansas Constitution. Senate members may only serve two four-year terms, and House members only three two-year terms.
