The company was formed as a spinoff of the landline portion of the ALLTEL Corporation and merger with VALOR Telecom. The company has telephone operations in sixteen states, one million high-speed internet customers, over seven thousand employees, and $3.2 billion in annual revenues. The corporation is one of the largest employers in Pulaski County, Arkansas.
