Little Rock Oil and Compress Company

The Little Rock Oil and Compress Company erected its cotton sheds in the nineteenth century along Water Street near where Main Street dead-ended at the Arkansas River. It also operated the Little Rock Mill for processing cotton at 1000-1022 East Second Street in the city. The mill averaged 125 employees on the site at any given time.
