Martin Borchert was the mayor of Little Rock from 1967 to 1968. Borchert worked on both the Dale Bumpers and Bill Clinton gubernatorial campaigns.

Borchert was born in Suttgart, Arkansas, in 1916. He graduated from Draughon Business College in Little Rock. In the 1940s he worked as a bookkeeper for Acme Brick before becoming a B-17 Flying Fortress pilot. After World War II he returned to Acme Brick and married Rosemary Branch in 1947.

Borchert eventualy opened his own building supply company the Martin Borchert Company in North Little Rock. He also co-founded Asco Hardware.
