Stanley Russ

Stanley Russ (1930- ) served in the Arkansas Senate from 1975 to 1999. He rose to the position of third ranking representative in that body.

Stanley Russ was born in Conway, Arkansas, on August 31, 1930. He studied in the Conway Public Schools, and attended Arkansas Tech University and the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. He graduated from UA Fayetteville with a bachelor's degree in Agriculture. Russ served in U.S. Army artillery division in the Korean War. Russ founded an insurance firm in downtown Conway and also raised cattle and farmed.
