The Walnut Grove Church was established in rural western Pulaski County in 1885. The congregation is affiliated with the United Methodist Church.
The church is located on Walnut Grove Road between Kanis Road and Burlingame Road in western Pulaski County. The local area is traditionally called Walnut Grove, near the town of Ferndale.

The church was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1977.
