Pickles Gap Village is a tourist destination on U.S. Highway 65 just north of Conway, Arkansas. The village takes its name from an incident where a German immigrant upended a wagon full of pickles while crossing the local creek.
Pickles Gap was originally known as Adams Novelties in the 1970s. Adams Novelties was owned by Will Adams. Adams and local artisans made wooden crafts, toys, and games. Adams eventually opened a general store to sell the products. He also opened a petting zoo called Kiddie Land. The village shut down except for a real estate office at one point, but then reopened.
