John Gould Fletcher (1886-1950) was a Pulitzer Prize-winning poet born in Little Rock. Fletcher left Little Rock for London, England, shortly before World War I, joining expatriates Ezra Pound and T.S. Eliot. He returned to Arkansas in the 1930s. Fletcher received the Pulitzer in 1939 for Selected Poems.
Fletcher is interred at Little Rock's Mount Holly Cemetery.
