George Eldridge is the owner of Doe's Eat Place. Eldridge brought one of the Greenville, Mississippi, restaurant chain's franchises to Little Rock in 1988, selecting a location at the corner of Ringo & West Markham streets. Doe's features porterhouse steaks and hot tamales, both favorites with Bill Clinton. Eldridge considers the president "a good friend - he has always been so gracious and very personable to all of us."
