He is a real estate developer, banker, manager of commercial property, and philanthropist. He is co-developer of the [[Excelsior Hotel]] (now Peabody Hotel), the [[Statehouse Convention Center]], and [[Rogers Building]] (now Stephens Building) on Markham Street in Little Rock.

Rogers purchased Metropolitan National Bank in 1983. He is chairman of the [[Doyle Rogers Company]].
