Lieutenant Arthur H. Allen, Jr. Arthur H. Allen, Jr. entered the U.S. Army Air Corps from Arkansas. He served with the Army Air Corps, 21st Photographic Reconnaissance Squadron as a Second Lieutenant.
Personal History
Arthur H. Allen, Jr. was born in 1920 in Garland County, Arkansas to parents Arthur H. Allen and Jessie M. Allen. He had three siblings: Mary Lu Allen, Billy Allen, and Mary Anna Allen. Allen, Jr. attended Arkansas State Teachers College from 1937-1941 and then joined the U.S. Army Air Corps. During his time at The Arkansas State Teachers College Allen was on the football squad and was also a member of Phi Sigma Epsilon Fraternity.
