W. P. Gulley Jr. was chairman of the board of Savers Federal Savings and Loan Association in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Gulley was president of the Little Rock Chamber of Commerce in 1968. He was also president of the board of trustees of the Donaghey Foundation and a co-founder of Fifty for the Future. He was also a member of the Arkansas State University Board of Trustees from 1968 to 1973.
