Vimy Ridge is an unincorporated town in eastern Saline County, Arkansas. The town, settled by immigrants from Germany, was originally named Germania. During World War I the townspeople changed its name to avoid association with the enemy Axis power. The town is now named after the site of the important French victory over the Germans in the first World War.
