The theater was instantly recognizable for its large domed roof mimicking the Cinerama Dome in Hollywood, California.

The UA Cinema opened in 1966 and closed in May 2003, reopening in 2006 as a 650-seat concert venue called simply "The Village." At the time of its closure it was the last remaining Dimension 150 theater in the nation.
