Before closing in the the fall of 2007 the mill processed more than 60,000 tons of animal feed each year. The Prime Quality brand is now owned by Minneapolis-based Cargill Animal Nutrition and is manufacturing feed on Byhalia, Mississippi.

The mill was constructed in 1924 and is located at 124 East Fifth Street. The mill is slated for demolition in 2008 to make way for mixed use residential development by the Vanadis3 Investment Group.
