Paron is an unincorporated town in northern Saline County, Arkansas. The community is on scenic Arkansas Highway 9 near the boundary of the Ouachita National Forest. Paron High School, shuttered in 1996, and Paron Elementary School are located here. The community is now part of the Bryant School District. The North Fork Saline River Bridge, built in 1944 just north of Paron, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

In March 1952 an F3 tornado struck the community, destroying a church, home, and barns, and doing significant damage to other structures.
