Megaplex

The Megaplex was to have been a 12,000-seat multipurpose arena and 75,000-square foot exhibit hall built in downtown Little Rock. The City of Little Rock's measure to fund the arena in 1977 was rejected by local voters by a three to one margin. Subsequent attempts to build the Diamond Center arena failed in 1991 and 1993 also failed.
The ALLTEL Arena opened in North Little Rock in 1999.
