Mark Stodola

Mark Stodola is the seventy-second and current mayor of Little Rock. The hallmark of his administration in its first year has been attention to crime. Stodola hired fifty police officers in 2007 to address violent crime in the city.

Stodola is formerly managing partner of the law firm Catlett & Stodola, PLC, located on the eighteenth floor of Little Rock's Tower Building. He is a specialist in litigation, government regulation, and international law. He is past general counsel to the Little Rock Municipal Airport Commission and to Perry County. He is former city attorney of Little Rock and city attorney of Maumelle, and attorney to the Maumelle Public Facilities Board. For six years he was a prosecuting attorney for the Sixth Judicial District.

Stodola received his bachelor's degree from the University of Iowa in 1971, double majoring in Political Science and Journalism. He received his juris doctorate from the University of Arkansas School of Law in 1974. Stodola has served as an adjunct professor at the UALR School of Law, Webster University, Park College, and the UALR Business School.
