The Little Rock Planning Commission is a public planning board of Planning and Development Department. The commission was established under Little Rock City Code sections 23-27. The purpose of the commission is to "promote public interest and understanding of long-range, coordinated municipal planning; to review proposed subdivisions; and to make zoning recommendations to the Little Rock City Board of Directors."

The commission has eleven members serving three year terms. Members are appointed by the City Board of Directors. One of the members must also be selected and approved by the Little Rock School Board.

The Planning Commission meets every other Thursday at 4 PM in the Board of Directors Chambers at City Hall.
