Large Standing Figure: Knife Edge

From FranaWiki

Large Standing Figure: Knife Edge is a bronze sculpture cast by Henry Moore in 1976. Large Standing Figure is located in Union National Plaza at the corner of Louisiana and Capitol streets in Little Rock, Arkansas. The sculpture was donated to the city by the Metrocentre Commission, which paid $185,000 for it in 1978. The sculpture is eleven feet five inches tall and weighs 1,200 pounds.

The sculpture was originally placed in the center of the plaza at Capitol and Main in the Metrocentre Improvement District. It replaced a sculpture proposal called Centrenyn that met with public disapproval. In 2008 the Department of Parks and Recreation announced that the sculpture would be moved to the newly opened Riverfront Adventure Park.

Large Standing Figure: Knife Edge was selected by a committee led by James Dyke.
