Frederic W. Trapnall was a Little Rock lawyer, state legislator, and merchant. He was also a member of Christ Church, a downtown Episcopalian congregation. Trapnall's antebellum Greek Revival home, constructed in 1843, is located at 423 East Capitol Avenue. Trapnall Hall is used for Arkansas Governor's receptions and is also for rent for other formal events.
Trapnall was born to Philip and Nancy Trapnall in rural Mercer County, Kentucky on May 23, 1807. He died in Monticello, Arkansas, on July 4, 1853. He was married to Martha Trapnall.
