Fourche Dam is a former post office stop near the Arkansas River in Pulaski County. Fourche Dam is located four miles east of Little Rock. The population of Fourche Dam in 1892 was 50, but little remains today except for Fourche Dam Dairy Bar and Fourche Dam Pike. The postmaster at the time was E. N. Chenault and a general store was located here called Chenault & Yountz.
