The Donald W. Reynolds Foundation was founded in 1954 by Donald W. Reynolds. The foundation exists to provide "improved facilities" for "outstanding local nonprofit organizations" in Arkansas, Nevada, and Oklahoma; support research into atherosclerosis and atherosclerotic heart disease; train physicians in geriatric medicine; and improve the "quality and integrity" of journalism, particularly business journalism and journalism in small communities.

The Donald W. Reynolds Foundation will expire as a legal entity on or before June 30, 2044, in accordance with the wishes of its chief benefactor.
