The Donaghey Project for Urban Studies and Design is a academic unit of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. The coordinator of the project is architect George Wittenberg III. The Project's staff members created the Six Bridges District Plan to reintegrate Little Rock and North Little Rock over the six main auto and rail bridges spanning the Arkansas River in the downtown districts of both cities. The plan has led so far to the repurposing of the old Junction Bridge for pedestrian use.
