Dale Chihuly (b. 1941) is an artist best known for his work with glassblowing. He revolutionized the studio glassblowing movement by turning from the convention of solitary studio art to collaborative art. In 2000, he designed the Crystal Tree of Light for the White House millennium celebration under William Jefferson (Bill) Clinton. The tree is now on permanent exhibit at the Clinton Presidential Center. Other works of Chihuly are on display in London, New York, and Kew.
