The '''Clinton Presidential Materials Project''' began in October 2000 with the anticipated transition in leadership from then-president [[Bill Clinton]] to the next executive-in-chief. [[David Alsobrook]], with an initial staff of four archivists from the [[National Archives and Records Administration]] (NARA), began creating finding aids for Clinton's presidential papers. Over the next four years these NARA staff members organized the movement of documents, artifacts, and other media from the Clinton administration from Washington, DC, to the [[Clinton Library Archives]] in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Some of the notable achievements of the project beyond the organizing and movement of some 77 million pages of documents included the online archiving of the public papers of the presidency and various White House web sites.
