The City of North Little Rock is a public entity that governs North Little Rock, Arkansas. City government is divided into a number of departments, and led by the North Little Rock Mayor's Office and the North Little Rock City Council.

Argenta became part of the City of Little Rock in 1890 and was briefly known as its Eighth Ward. The city was known as Argenta until 1917 when it adopted the new name of North Little Rock.
