The Arkansas State Library is located at 900 West Capitol Avenue, Suite 100, in Little Rock, Arkansas.

During the Civil War paper for making gun cartridges was so scarce that the State Library was ransacked for spare material.

By 1896 the library held 50,000 volumes.
