The history of Wine in Arkansas is traced all the way back from the early explorers of Europe to Catholic priests who carried wine with them while traveling from place to place. Because the museum is full of wine collected from all over the state, the wine bottles are known to be labeled with interesting names such as, "Sure Shot", "Sailor Girl", "Big Daddy",and "Eight Ball."

Other wineries in Arkansas include: Mount Bethel Winery, Cowie Wine Cellars, Chateau Aux Arc Cellar, Post Famillie Winery ,and Wiederkher Wine Cellars. The Arkansas Historic Wine Museum branched out in March 2006. Hot Springs, Arkansas became the second home of the Arkansas Historic Wine Museum. The Winery of Hot Springs is located on 11503 Central Avenue. People are free to visit the museum any day of the week.
