J. Wythe Walker

J. (John) Wythe Walker was a real estate developer in Little Rock, Arkansas. J. Wythe Walker was also the first director of the Little Rock Urban Progress Association formed in 1959. At the first meeting of the association Walker noted, "If the heart of the city prospers, the whole city – the entire area – prospers. If it deteriorates, the whole area deteriorates." At the time Walker made his speech the central business district of the city represented only a tenth of one percent of the land area of the city, but fifteen percent of it tax valuation.

His son H. Bradley Walker is founder of Walker Real Estate.
